Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has reportedly caused concern among her close friends with her latest whirlwind romance, as they have witnessed her endure multiple heartbreaks in the past. The 49-year-old star, who rose to fame on the iconic ITV soap, is preparing to walk down the aisle for the fourth time after accepting a proposal from boyfriend Tom Dickinson.
A rapid romance leading to engagement
Kym Marsh and senior commercials manager Tom Dickinson became engaged last week during a romantic trip to Paris, following a whirlwind seven-month courtship. The former Hear'Say singer, who also starred in Waterloo Road, began dating Tom less than a year ago after meeting him on a dating site. She had been single for eight months following her split from theatre producer Samuel Thomas, whom she described as her "soulmate" during their six-month relationship.
Friends have expressed worry that Kym might be "jumping in too fast" with this new engagement, particularly given her history of romantic disappointments. Just last April, Marsh publicly declared she would not marry for a fourth time, stating: "I've been married three times, and three times it's not gone well – so no more for me. Three strikes and I'm out!"

Kym Marsh's relationship history has been eventful and public. Her first marriage to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder lasted seven years before ending in 2009. In her 2011 autobiography, she revealed struggling with their contrasting personalities, describing herself as a "party girl" while Jack preferred a quieter, teetotal lifestyle.
Her second marriage to Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, with whom she shares two children, ended after just two years in 2014. The couple's son Archie was born 18 weeks premature in 2009 and tragically died moments after birth.
