Kristin Cavallari has revealed she has not spoken to her father for three years, alleging that he 'traumatized' her children. The 38-year-old reality TV star said she cut Dennis Cavallari out of her life after an incident where his behaviour 'crossed the line' with one of her sons.
Speaking on Harry Jowsey's podcast 'Boyfriend Material', Cavallari explained that her father took 'zero accountability' for his actions and offered no apology. 'That's a deal breaker for me,' she said. 'He traumatized my kids. And I have no room for that in my life, and so that was it.'
Cavallari, who has two sons, Camden (12) and Jaxon (10), and a daughter, Saylor (9), with ex-husband Jay Cutler, said she would do 'everything imaginable' to repair a broken relationship with her own children. However, her father has not attempted to make amends.
The former 'The Hills' star has previously described her father as a narcissist and said he would gaslight her. In December 2023, she told psychologist Dr Sherrie Campbell on her podcast: 'I actually didn't even realise that my dad was a narcissist until I was an adult. I can take the abuse. I have my whole life. But it's like, when you start now messing with my kids, I'm not doing it.'
