Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly snubbed Kris Jenner and the Kardashian clan as they assemble their celebrity inner circle for their new life in North America. The couple, currently based in Vancouver Island, Canada, are carefully selecting which high-profile figures to include in their close network.
According to a source cited by heat magazine, Meghan has been overwhelmed by the number of A-list celebrities seeking a connection, and is being very selective about who she and Harry commit time to. Kris Jenner has repeatedly tried to arrange a meeting, but the insider says the couple have decided to distance themselves from the Kardashians for now.
The former senior royals are prioritising friendships with stars who share their values, particularly on issues like climate change and mental health. They aim to assemble a squad that will help secure their future in America and demonstrate they can achieve their goals without the royal family.
Other celebrities reportedly eager to connect include Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Margot Robbie, the Obamas, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The couple recently hinted at their future career plans by appearing as speakers at a JP Morgan event in Miami.
