Kourtney Kardashian Opens Up About Miscarriage with Travis Barker

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have bravely opened up about the heartbreaking loss of their baby, whom they had planned to name Tulip. The couple revealed the devastating miscarriage in a new documentary, sharing their profound grief.

The Tragic Loss

The pair discovered they were expecting a girl in 2022, roughly six months after they began dating. However, during a routine doctor's visit at the three-month stage, they received the crushing news that their baby no longer had a heartbeat. Kourtney, 47, said in the documentary: "When we lost the baby, we were devastated. We cried for days."

Documentary Premiere

The couple made a rare joint red carpet appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York for the premiere of Travis Barker's documentary Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear, where the heartbreaking revelation was shared.

Fertility Journey

The film featured footage of the pair undergoing multiple fertility treatments. In May 2023, they announced they had finished with IVF and hoped to conceive naturally. Weeks later, Kourtney revealed her pregnancy during her husband's Los Angeles concert by holding up a sign reading "Travis, I'm Pregnant" at a Blink-182 show. Their son Rocky arrived in November 2023.

Family Blended

Travis is a doting father to son Landon, daughter Alabama, and stepfather to Atiana from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler. Kourtney shares Mason, Penelope, and Reign with former partner Scott Disick.

Extreme Measures

In a desperate attempt to conceive, Kourtney resorted to extreme measures, including drinking Travis' semen and undergoing vaginal steaming treatments. The couple's IVF journey began after Kourtney had her eggs frozen before their relationship, but she revealed that most of her eggs "didn't survive the thaw" and "none of them made it to an embryo."

Kourtney added: "The freezing of the eggs isn't guaranteed. I think that that's a misunderstanding. People do it thinking that it's like a safety net and it's not."
