Christine Baumgartner, the estranged wife of actor Kevin Costner, was seen smiling during a shopping trip in Montecito, California, following a Hawaiian vacation with family friend Josh Connor. The 49-year-old handbag designer appeared relaxed as she browsed stores, wearing a white t-shirt emblazoned with the slogan 'sun kissed', a tie-dyed cardigan, and denim shorts.
Baumgartner was accompanied by her youngest daughter with Costner, one of the three children the couple share. The outing came shortly after her return from Hawaii, where she reportedly traveled with two of the children to take her mind off the ongoing legal battle with her estranged husband.
The divorce proceedings have been contentious, with Baumgartner requesting $240,000 per month in child support and joint custody. Costner, who also seeks joint custody, is contesting the monthly payment. His accountant has alleged that Baumgartner spent over $100,000 of Costner's money on plastic surgery, shopping sprees, and ATM withdrawals.
Baumgartner has accused Costner of infidelity, which he denies. She also claims Costner informed the children about the split via Zoom. In court documents, Costner asserts that Baumgartner is leveraging their continued cohabitation to her advantage. He further claims she withdrew $95,000 from his accounts and charged it to her divorce attorneys and forensic accountant.
As news of the split emerged last month, a source told US Weekly that Costner was 'deeply saddened' and trying to save his marriage, describing the situation as his 'worst nightmare'. Meanwhile, the actor's hit series 'Yellowstone' is set to conclude after its fifth season later this year.
