Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona left Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid in stitches after a cheeky exchange about her OnlyFans subscription page during a live interview on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025.
"Not Giving You Mates Rates, Ed!"
The 45-year-old celebrity was on the ITV programme with her 18-year-old daughter, Heidi, to address criticism from a newspaper columnist about a recent TikTok video they made together. During the frank discussion, Katona defended her parenting and her career choices, leading to the unexpected and humorous offer.
"You can come for me all you want, but not my children," Kerry stated firmly. She highlighted the unfair judgement her daughter faced simply for appearing in a TikTok trend, despite the platform being for over-18s. It was then she turned to the former Shadow Chancellor, declaring: "Just because I do OnlyFans... not giving you mates rates Ed!"
Balls' Flustered Response and Reid's Surprise
A visibly shocked Ed Balls quickly retorted, "I don't need it, I'm already subscribed!" before immediately backtracking with a clarification. "By the way, that was a joke, I am not, I don't even know what it is!" he insisted, much to the amusement of the studio.
Co-host Susanna Reid then admitted she "must have been living in the wilderness," as she was unaware Katona had an OnlyFans page. The mother-of-five, who also has Molly, 24, Lily-Sue, 22, Max, 17, and DJ, 11, explained that hitting back at critics simply "gives me more subscribers."
From Glamour Modelling to Digital Platforms
Katona spoke candidly about her career origins, linking her current work on adult subscription sites to her start as a glamour model at age 16. She described it as her "get out" from a difficult upbringing in foster care.
"Back in the day we did FHM, Nuts, all the soap stars did it," she recalled. "These magazines don't exist anymore, it's all gone digital so I have moved with the times." She argued that she faces disproportionate criticism compared to actors in similar roles, stating, "If I was a thespian, and it was an acting role, it's applauded."
Heidi also supported her mother during the segment, expressing shock at the columnist's claims and affirming Katona was an "amazing parent." She clarified the TikTok was a joke trend and denied reveling in her mother's money.
In a powerful conclusion, Kerry Katona, a former I'm A Celebrity winner, called for more support among women. "I've been to the depths of hell and the fact that I'm sat here today, I give myself credit," she said, questioning why society is so eager to revel in downfalls rather than applaud success.
