Kerry Katona admits nerves as children give mixed reactions to Spain move

Kerry Katona has revealed she is feeling nervous about her upcoming move to Spain with boyfriend Paolo Margaglione, as her children have given mixed reactions to the news. The former Atomic Kitten star, 43, confirmed the couple plans to relocate by September, having previously hinted at the move in her column for new! magazine.

In her latest column, Kerry wrote: 'Paolo and I have decided we’re moving to Spain in September and we’ve started looking at places. It’s really exciting but I’m also nervous.' She added that her children's responses varied: 'Heidi isn't happy, but our Molly said, “Good for you Queen, you do you”. If the older kids want to move too they can, DJ is coming of course.'

The couple, who met on Celebs Go Dating last year, are blending their families. Kerry has five children—Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi, Max, and Dylan-Jorge—while Paolo has two daughters, Milani and Nola. Kerry explained her reasoning for the move: 'If I’m working I’m never in the house and if I am at home I sit there by myself, so why not sit in the sun.'

Kerry also plans to return to Spain next month to celebrate her daughter DJ's 12th birthday on April 4 and son Max's 18th on April 11. She said: 'It’ll be me, Paolo, DJ, Milani and Nola for a few days before Paolo flies back with the children and I’m going to stay out in Spain.'

The couple have previously spoken about getting married but are in no rush. Kerry told OK! magazine: 'We will 100 per cent get married,' while Paolo added: 'I’m not just doing it for the sake of doing it. We’re trying to build something really special together, so I want it to be the right moment.'
