Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, a relationship expert on Celebs Go Dating, has dismissed Kerry Katona's recent comments that she only joined the show for a paycheck and exposure. The former Atomic Kitten singer had claimed she wanted 'a paycheck, exposure and therapy' from the experience.
Dr Tara believes Kerry's remarks are a defence mechanism, saying the singer has a 'comedic and hard exterior but a very, very soft and sweet and girly interior'. She told the Express that Kerry is actually looking for love on the show and viewers will see her 'thawing away from her frozen demeanour' as the series progresses.
The expert, alongside co-star Anna Williamson, said they can see beyond Kerry's comments to the real reasons she has struggled in love. Dr Tara noted that Kerry's entire life being in the press makes relationships difficult, as most couples deal with issues in private.
This year's Celebs Go Dating cast includes Kerry, The Chase's Mark Labbett, Jon Lee, Christine McGuinness, Olivia Hawkins and Louis Russell. Christine quit the show, saying it was too soon after her split from husband Paddy McGuinness. Rumours suggest Kerry may have found love on the show with Paolo Magaglione.
