Kelvin Fletcher's wife Liz admits cow struggle on ITV show

Kelvin Fletcher's wife Liz Fletcher had a difficult time in a recent episode of ITV's Fletchers' Family Farm, admitting she was "doing terrible" while trying to handle a cow. The couple, who share their farming adventures on their Peak District property, were preparing to exhibit cattle at the Royal Cheshire Show.

Liz's Struggle with the Cow

In the episode, Liz attempted to walk a cow named Cherry but found it challenging. She confessed to former Emmerdale star Kelvin: "She was uncontrollable, she was walking me!" Despite Kelvin's tips, Liz admitted to nerves, saying: "Not much on the farm has made me nervous, but this makes me nervous."

She added: "The thing that is more nerve-wracking than anything, not only have you got to handle the cow, you've got to handle the cow in front of an audience. I can't embarrass us. I can't embarrass the Fletcher farming name by screaming like, 'Ah!' I genuinely don't want to do it."

Kelvin's Encouragement

As Liz set off with Cherry, Kelvin urged her on. After she struggled to control the cow, Kelvin tried to reassure her: "I think you're doing yourself a disservice. You are expressing negativity. Let's just think positive." However, Liz responded: "But you have to be real. I can't pretend that that was good. It wasn't good. You've got to be realistic. You've got to know, I like to be realistic. Look, if I'm doing it terrible, I know I'm doing it terrible. I'll get there. But right now, I accept it wasn't great. I will do better next time. But I'm not fantasising that that was good."

Kelvin, who found fame as Andy Sugden in ITV's Emmerdale, initially chronicled his agricultural venture in Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure before he and Liz went on to create Fletchers' Family Farm, which has now aired four series. The couple share four young children.

Fletchers' Family Farm airs on ITV.
