Kelly Reilly Reveals 'Hardest Thing' Filming Dutton Ranch: Texas Heat

Kelly Reilly has opened up about the toughest challenge she faced while filming the Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch, revealing that the intense Texas heat was far more demanding than anything she experienced in Montana.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, the actress, who reprises her role as Beth Dutton, said: 'I'd say the heat in Texas was something I had to adapt to. We used to film Yellowstone in Montana, [where] you could get a winter's day and a summer's day in literally the same day. The weather was always so changeable, but in Texas, the heat is unlike anything I have ever experienced, and the humidity.'

Reilly described how the cast struggled with heat sickness during the first week of filming in August. 'We were all going home from work and had to stop and we were sick in the car, or just having to get hydration. That was the hardest thing, because it's hard to concentrate when you are that hot,' she said.

Despite the physical demands, Reilly expressed her joy at working with new cast members, including Ed Harris and Annette Bening. 'That was the gift that keeps giving. For me, to have these iconic ...they are just masterclass and just brilliant at what they do,' she said. She also shared her love for 'being outside on a horse,' a key element of the series.

Dutton Ranch follows Beth and Rip Wheeler as they purchase a new ranch in Texas after losing their Montana property. The nine-episode season sees them collide with 'brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch.'
