The pop star and the former Canadian Prime Minister stepped out together for the first time on the red carpet at the Annual Tribeca Festival in New York last night, looking deeply in love.

The couple, who have been dating since last summer, attended the premiere of Perry's concert film Katy Perry The Lifetimes Tour - Live From Paris. Trudeau stood by her side throughout the evening, and during a Q&A session after the screening, Perry was asked about the man who means the most to her. She did not hesitate to confess that Justin is the "love of my life."

During the Q&A, Perry spoke about how the shows featured in her film impacted her life. She confirmed that she and Trudeau were already an item during the final performances, which took place toward the end of 2025. "I would say now at the end of 91 shows, I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love," she said. "Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that, because I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite. I fly super high and like touch the veiled cosmos, and sometimes I need to be anchored, so to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now."

Brand was charged in April with one count each of rape, indecent assault, and oral rape, as well as two counts of sexual assault, relating to four separate women, with alleged assaults dating back 26 years. Despite his legal troubles, he found time to criticize Perry's new partner. "I've got nothing but good things to say about Katy Perry or indeed anybody. Justin Trudeau on the other end. Oh man," Brand said. He went on to describe Trudeau as a political leader with "no authentic power" who seems to operate on behalf of "global bureaucracies." Brand added, "We know these are not real political leaders or real political figures. You can see it by looking at them. They are the operatives of deeper interest, shall we say.
