Katie Price has shared the first photos of her husband Lee Andrews following his release from a four-week stint in Dubai's notorious Al Awir prison, as the pair reconnected on a FaceTime call.
Lee Andrews Looks Fresh-Faced After Release
Lee Andrews was photographed looking fresh-faced and grinning as wife Katie Price posted the first image of him following a four-week prison stint. Self-proclaimed millionaire Lee had been locked up in Dubai's infamous Al Awir jail and was appearing remarkably well considering his surroundings when he contacted Katie via FaceTime.
Following his release, Lee rang his wife - who is reported to have not contributed a single penny towards his £140,000 freedom fund - with Katie subsequently posting the images of their conversation to the Sun.
In the photograph, Lee is spotted wearing a baseball cap, looks to be sun-kissed and is pictured beaming widely during the video conversation. While Lee might be smiling now, it's claimed Katie is prepared for a confrontation with him regarding his behaviour.
Source Reveals Katie's Reaction
A source told The Sun: "Lee is out, and back in his rental. He called Kate straight away and she was thrilled – not least because she didn't pay a penny of the £140,000 fine to get him out."
They continued: "Of course she has heard the discourse surrounding him, and she's not stupid. She knows the optics aren't great if she stays with this man. But as any woman who has been love-bombed knows, it's hard to leave when you're being treated so well. For whatever reason, she still loves him and is hugely physically attracted to him."
The insider went on: "But make no bones about it: Lee is a conman and a fraud and there must be consequences to his despicable actions. She must leave this man."
Background on Lee's Imprisonment
Lee has been locked up in the infamous prison for more than a month on suspicion of fraud, despite his assertions that he had been detained for espionage.
Eager to reassure supporters that this isn't a publicity stunt designed to attract media coverage, she firmly told the publication: "This is real, this is real life; this is my life. It has been a tough few weeks, don't get me wrong. But I've still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face."
Katie, who shares two children with Peter Andre, continued: "So, in this situation, I'm doing what I want to do, and I'm out here in Dubai, because I'm here to help Lee. Some people might not like my choices, but I'm not living for everyone else."
Former Fiancée Speaks Out
This follows Katie's previous claims that her husband, who has yet to visit her in the UK, was abducted. However, at the time, Lee's former fiancée Alana Percival questioned the accusations. Writing on Instagram, she posted: "Has he faked his own kidnapping? I would if I was him knowing that I'm about to open some doors! In my eye all just one big joke he is just playing his sick games."
She continued: "Thank you all so so much for such amazing lovely messages I know to start a lot of people thought I was being bitter or fame hungry but now I think you can all start to see what this awful man is all about. See why I wanted to protect Katie from the things that he has put not just me but exes through in the past."
"I refuse to give up for all of us until this man gets what he deserves. Justice will be served. I will speak out for us all and that includes all the women he has scammed," she declared.
Alana went on to say: "A lot of you have asked why I haven't fully told you everything is because I also have a police case against Lee and I do have to be careful with some of the more serious things that go online as it is sensitive and I don't want it affecting the police doing their job! I wish I could show you all more and I hope the podcast will help explain some things. The truth will come out the man is very very sick and has serious problems mentally!"
