Katie Price Shares Menopause Struggle Weeks After Pregnancy Claims

Katie Price has publicly shared the significant challenges she is facing with menopause symptoms, just weeks after announcing to the world that she was expecting a baby with her new husband, Lee Andrews. The 47-year-old former glamour model detailed her difficult experience, which includes severe night sweats and memory issues, in a recent interview with The Sun.

Conflicting Announcements and Speculation

Earlier this year, Katie Price took to Instagram to claim she was pregnant with Lee Andrews' child, while also criticising his ex-partner, Alana Percival. In a post, she wrote: "I know all about you and who you are at least I'm the real woman he has found and deserves, but please just enjoy watching us build our empire as I’m having his child." This statement fuelled widespread speculation about her pregnancy status.

Lee Andrews further added to the rumours by sharing a picture of the couple on Instagram with the caption: "Perfect couple soon to be a triple," accompanied by a pregnancy emoji. He also posted AI-generated images of what their potential future children might look like, showing a boy and a girl with dark hair and light eyes, and gushed in another story: "I want our baby to have your eyes."

Clarification and Menopause Revelation

However, Katie Price has since confirmed that she is not expecting her sixth child. In a YouTube video, she held up a pregnancy test with the result covered, telling fans they would need to subscribe to see the answer. She later posted another clip clarifying: "So everyone, do you want to know the answer? Here’s the answer. No, I’m not pregnant – but one day I will be. Hopefully that clears all the speculation up. Just because we say we’ll have kids, [it’s because] one day I will. There’s your answer… not pregnant."

Instead, Katie has opened up about her ongoing battle with menopause. She revealed that she has started Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), a treatment prescribed by the NHS for menopause symptoms, to manage what she describes as "awful perimenopausal symptoms." She explained: "I went on HRT because of all those awful perimenopausal symptoms: sweats at night, and memory fog."

Impact of Menopause Symptoms

The symptoms have taken a significant toll on Katie Price. She shared that the medication causes such intense sweating at night that she wakes up thinking she has wet the bed, saying: "It makes me sweat so much that I wake up thinking 'Oh no I've p***ed myself'." Additionally, her memory has been severely affected, to the point where she cannot remember the names of her own pets.

Katie expressed her distress over these changes, stating: "It's so depressing." She also admitted to feeling her age, saying she "hates" her appearance and acknowledges that at 47, she is "never going to look young-young again."

Family Background and Future Plans

Katie Price already has five children from previous relationships: Harvey Price, 23; Junior and Princess Andre, 20 and 18; and Jett and Bunny Hayler, 12 and 11. Despite the recent clarification about not being pregnant, both Katie and Lee Andrews have been open about their desire to have a child together in the future. They married in late January and have hinted at baby plans, keeping the possibility alive for fans and followers.

This candid revelation about her menopause struggle highlights the personal challenges Katie Price is facing, juxtaposed against the public speculation surrounding her pregnancy claims. It underscores the often difficult transition women experience during menopause, even in the spotlight of celebrity life.
