Katie Price has announced her engagement to a new mystery man, just weeks after her split from JJ Slater. The mother of five shared details of a lavish proposal in Dubai with her Instagram followers, saying her “Richard gear swept off my feet” and claiming “manifesting does work”.
She posted a snap of the Burj Al Arab hotel, where a top-tier suite can cost nearly £20,000 per night, along with images of the proposal including a huge diamond ring. In one photo, she stood by a hot tub surrounded by rose petals and love hearts with tea lights, beside petals spelling out “Will You Marry Me? Katie”. Her new fiancé has been identified as Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews, who also shared a loved-up photo on his social media.
Katie also shared a picture of a chocolate dessert with the words “Marry Me?” scrawled on the dish, and a photo of her hand clasping her fiancé’s, showing off the ring and a new tattoo of her name on his hand.
The former glamour model has been married three times before: to Peter Andre (2005-2009), Alex Reid (2010-2012), and Kieran Hayler (2013-2018). She has also accepted proposals from Warren Furman (1996), Scott Sullivan (2004), Leandro Penna (2012), Kris Boyson (2018), and Carl Woods (2021), but never married them.
The engagement comes after her split from JJ Slater, 32, following nearly two years together. Sources said the problems in their relationship had become “too obvious to ignore”, with Katie stating: “There’s no hard feelings, there’s no animosity.”
Earlier this week, Katie admitted she was “horrified” by photos showing her looking “gaunt” during an outing with her daughter Princess. On her podcast, she said the images made her look ill and that she plans to see a doctor about her weight loss.
