The Prince and Princess of Wales are set to attend Royal Ascot today, as confirmed by the official carriage list. Princess Kate and Prince William will participate in the grand parade, marking their first public appearance since Monday's Garter Day ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Carriage Procession Details
The royal couple will ride in one of four horse-drawn carriages departing from Windsor Great Park to the Ascot grandstand. The procession, a highly choreographed event, begins at 2pm. The Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon will join them in the second carriage.
The King and Queen will lead the procession in the first carriage, accompanied by Lady Sarah Chatto and her husband, Daniel. This traditional parade signals the start of each race day, with the first race scheduled for 2:30pm.
Recent Royal Appearances
Yesterday, the King and Queen welcomed newlyweds Peter and Harriet Phillips into the royal fold during the carriage procession. This marked their first official outing since their private wedding in the Cotswolds less than two weeks ago. Harriet, wearing a Suzannah London blue skirt dress, accessorized with an Anya Hindmarch clutch embroidered with her new initials, HP.
Peter sat opposite his wife, dressed in a morning suit with top hat and tails. The newlyweds were seen chatting with family in the Royal Enclosure, including Zara Tindall. In the Royal Box, they enjoyed champagne while watching the races.
