Inside Jordan Wright's Idyllic Thailand Holiday Before Mysterious Death

The tragic death of former The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright in Thailand has left his family and friends in shock. The 33-year-old was found dead in a drain in Phuket just days after posting about his new life in the country. CCTV footage from the night of his disappearance shows him sprinting towards his hotel complex in distress, repeatedly looking back as if being chased.

The footage captures Wright clutching a white pick-up truck as he dashed through the complex, stumbling as he went. It is believed he then traversed rough terrain, leapt into a 10ft deep creek, navigated a shallow stream, and ended up at a nearby construction site without CCTV coverage, where his body was later discovered.

Lieutenant Colonel Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station said: 'The circumstances leading up to the death are quite unclear. It is possible that other people were involved.' A hotel source reported that Wright had not received any visitors during his stay and that there was nothing unusual until he failed to check out.

In the weeks before his death, Wright had been sharing updates from his Thai adventure on Instagram, including beachside cocktails, champagne in infinity pools, and motorbike tours. A close friend paid tribute on Instagram, describing Wright as a 'brother' and an inspiration who 'lived more lives in the short time you were here than many couldn't dream of doing in 5 lifetimes.'
