Jordan North Reveals Deafness From Childhood Bike Accident

I'm A Celebrity runner-up Jordan North has revealed he is deaf in one ear following a childhood incident. The 35-year-old radio presenter shared the details on the Shagged, Married, Annoyed podcast with Chris and Rosie Ramsey.

North explained that he lost hearing in his right ear at around age 12 or 13 after putting his bike away in the shed. He said: 'My ear burst and I think I was so angry that basically I've burst a blood vessel.' He told the hosts that his mother initially did not believe him when he complained of hearing loss.

The presenter admitted he requires a hearing aid but never wears it. Chris Ramsey described the story as 'unbelievable', while North noted that an ear specialist had messaged him to suggest the incident might not have occurred exactly as he described, but he maintained his account.

Earlier this week, North also revealed on his Capital Breakfast show that he had long believed comedian Josh Widdicombe disliked him after an awkward encounter. Co-hosts Chris Stark and Sian Welby plotted to convince him of this, but Widdicombe later admitted he had been asked to act rudely as a prank.
