Jordan Brooks, star of The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), has issued a fresh health update from his hospital bed, describing his current battle as the hardest he has ever faced. The reality television personality has been in and out of hospital for the past fortnight due to a serious condition causing brain swelling.
In an Instagram story posted on March 20, Brooks shared a black and white photograph of his hand from his hospital bed, captioned: 'Day 10 in hospital. Hardest battle I've had to face. Family is everything. Praying and hoping. Meds up. Brain is showing continued issues, swelling and pain.' Earlier in the week, he had said he was 'praying for a miracle'.
Brooks's pregnant girlfriend, Geordie Shore's Sophie Kasaei, has been unable to visit him in hospital due to the risks. She said earlier this week: 'It's been a tough two weeks for our family. Seeing Jordan so poorly has been hard but he is getting there and will get better. It's going to take time but he is so strong and he's getting through knowing he's going to be an amazing dad.' The couple, who have been together for four years, are expecting a baby boy in June after a two-year struggle with fertility issues.
This health scare comes amid further tragedy for the TOWIE cast, as former star Jordan Wright was found dead in a drainage ditch in Thailand on March 18. The 33-year-old's body was discovered near Bang Tao Beach, and tributes have poured in from fellow cast members.
