Joe Sugg became emotional as he recalled meeting his newborn son for the first time in a vlog documenting the couple's first week as parents. The YouTube star and his partner, Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell, welcomed baby Bowden on 16th March 2026.
In the video titled "The best day of our lives," the couple shared clips from the day of the birth, including the moment Joe broke down in tears. Dianne explained that she had to undergo an emergency C-section after labour escalated rapidly.
Joe described the experience as "scrambly" and praised Dianne's resilience, saying he was "amazed" by her composure. Dianne admitted she was nervous about the procedure, particularly the numbness required, but the birth went smoothly.
The vlog captured the sounds of Joe crying and Dianne getting tearful before Bowden's first cries were heard. After the birth, the couple sang Happy Birthday to their son. Dianne also revealed on Instagram that she needed time in an oxygen chamber to recover after the delivery.
