Joan Collins, 92, Stuns at Charity Gala with Husband

Dame Joan Collins showcased her age-defying appearance as she attended a Summer Evening Gala hosted by Shooting Star Children's Hospices at The Ivy Chelsea Garden on Tuesday, accompanied by her husband, Percy Gibson. The legendary actress, aged 92, and her spouse, 61, joined a star-studded lineup to raise essential funds for terminally ill children across London and Surrey.

Joan's Timeless Style

Renowned for her Hollywood glamour, Joan looked effortlessly chic in a white satin tuxedo-style jacket adorned with a rose on the lapel. She paired it with a plain black shirt featuring leather edging and matching smart trousers. Her signature voluminous curls and a dark red lip added a vibrant pop of colour to her ensemble.

The Dynasty star appeared deeply affectionate with her producer husband, who cut a dapper figure in a white button-up shirt, black slacks, and a camel blazer. Originally from Peru, Percy is a notable Hollywood producer, best known for producing Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Age Gap and Relationship

Despite their 32-year age difference, Joan has dismissed concerns with her witty remark: 'If he dies, he dies.' The couple were joined by other celebrities, including Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli, who caught attention in a mesh vest and white trousers with a floral-patterned grey blazer. Fellow actress and two-time Oscar nominee Brenda Blethyn, 80, looked youthful in a stylish shirt dress, while TV personality Lizzie Cundy turned heads in a plunging yellow gown with a thigh-high slit.

Joan's Stance on Weight-Loss Drugs

Joan's glamorous outing comes after she declared she would 'never dream' of using weight-loss drugs due to their 'disastrous' effects. Speaking to Hello! magazine, she said: 'I don't believe in needles and things. I've never had Botox or anything in my face.' Regarding Ozempic, she added: 'I'd never dream of doing something like that. I have seen too many disastrous faces. I think if you're going to lose weight, you have to cut down. You want to enjoy your life. You don't want to live on a celery stick.'

Marriage to Percy Gibson

Joan and Percy married in February 2002 at Claridge's Hotel in London, making him the longest-lasting of her five husbands. She joked in 2020 that this marriage had lasted as long as her previous four combined. Her earlier marriages included Maxwell Reed (1952-1956), a brief engagement to Warren Beatty, Anthony Newley (1963-1971), Ron Kass (1972-1983), and Peter Holm (1985-1986).

She met Percy on the set of Love Letters, which he produced, in 2000. Writing in the Daily Mail in 2018, she recalled: 'We hit it off immediately. He was funny, engaging, good-looking... We had a lorra lorra laughs and bonded like family.' She described him as her 'soulmate' and 'best friend,' adding: 'As Percy said on the day that we married, we are each other's accomplices in mischief, comrades in arms, confessors, confidants, fearless leaders and loyal supporters, and very best of friends.'
