Jesy Nelson has posted a cryptic song on Instagram following former bandmate Perrie Edwards calling her 'difficult'. The 35-year-old left Little Mix at the end of 2020 due to mental health reasons, leaving Perrie, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock to continue as a trio before they went on hiatus two years later.
Jesy's Cryptic Post
In her recent Amazon Prime documentary, Jesy touched on her exit and shared that she hadn't spoken to her fellow singers since leaving. Last week, Perrie urged her to 'take some accountability' for her actions. Jesy has yet to directly address the comments but instead shared glimpses of her sun-soaked birthday getaway on social media. She posted a video of herself posing in a bikini while traveling on Monday, setting the footage to 'I'm Learning' by The Silent Partner featuring IVEY.H. The lyrics read: 'I fold my heart like a letter I'll never send, read it alone then I start again. I rehearse love in a silent room but freeze when it's real and you step too soon.'
Perrie's Comments
The day before, Jesy posted a carousel of pictures with the caption: 'Whatever will chapter 35 bring'. The getaway comes days after Perrie opened up about Jesy's exit in depth for the first time, branding her 'difficult'. On the Good Company podcast, Perrie told host Jamie Laing: 'I have to be careful how I say this as I don't want to seem like a b**** but, for me, what upsets me the most is when situations like this happen and the other person doesn't take any accountability, that boils my blood! Take some accountability for your actions and realise you were difficult, you did have difficult moments.'
No Reunion
Perrie also ruled out any reunion, adding: 'If I am being completely transparent, part of me wanted to until the documentary, and then part of me withdrew again. I am not a horrible person, I haven't got a bad bone in my body but I can cut you off. I can cut you out of my life like that, if you upset me and hurt me in a way, there's not really any going back.'
