EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace has offered a rare glimpse into her family life, sharing new photographs from a relaxing spa weekend with her 21-year-old daughter, Tallulah.
A Rare Mother-Daughter Getaway
The Kat Slater star, 54, who typically keeps her daughter out of the public eye, posted a series of snaps from their trip to Champneys. In one heartwarming image, Jessie placed an arm around Tallulah as they posed together in fluffy white bathrobes, both smiling broadly. The mother-of-one thanked her EastEnders co-star, Michelle Collins, for the recommendation to the "gorgeous" spa hotel, which boasts eight locations across the UK.
"Thank you Champneys Spas for a gorgeous time with my gal," Jessie penned on Instagram. "Relaxing treatments, lovely food all the staff are AMAZING! If you need a relaxing break, this is the place." The duo enjoyed a series of spa treatments and dined on delicious food during their weekend of rest and relaxation.
Tallulah's Life Away from the Spotlight
Tallulah, whom Jessie shares with ex-partner Dave Morgan, is a rare feature on her famous mother's social media. The last major appearance was in November 2023, when Jessie shared a holiday snap to mark her daughter's 21st birthday. In the image, taken on a lavish holiday, Tallulah – a spitting image of her soap star mother – posed with an iguana, her dark hair braided and wearing glamorous makeup.
Jessie's personal life has seen significant milestones in recent years. Back in 2022, she became a grandmother at the age of 50 after Tallulah, then aged 17, gave birth to her first child, a son. Jessie announced the arrival of her grandson, SJ, on Instagram, writing: "Welcome to the world, my grandson SJ. You are loved, cherished, and adored."
Family Challenges and Personal Triumphs
Jessie has consciously tried to protect Tallulah from the public eye, but has spoken out about challenges in the past. In 2019, she revealed that Tallulah had been robbed by a gang in Muswell Hill, north London, when she was just 14, and expressed frustration over the police response.
The family has also recently faced bereavement. Last month, Jessie's sister, Danielle Mason, announced the death of their father, Ronald, after a long 12-year battle with leukaemia. Danielle shared a poignant tribute on social media, expressing the deep pain of their loss.
