Jessica Alba has described a nude scene in the 2005 film 'Fantastic Four' as 'humiliating', speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival on Friday. The actor said her 'least favourite scene' was when her character Sue Storm reappears naked over a bridge.
'I thought that was awful,' Alba said. 'It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up with a pretty conservative family, and I am a pretty modest person. I dreaded that scene for weeks.' Despite this, she said she 'loved' playing Storm, praising the character for breaking gender stereotypes in superhero films.
Alba also revealed she has not yet watched Vanessa Kirby's portrayal of Sue Storm in 'Fantastic Four: First Steps', as her children dominate family movie choices. She announced a new project with director Robert Rodríguez, described as a 'family dramedy inside a heist movie' with an all-Latino cast.
The actor discussed her production company Lady Metalmark Entertainment, aiming to increase diversity on screen. 'Growing up, I didn't see a lot of diversity in storytelling,' she said, adding that Latino stories are 'still very much defined by a bias' in the US, often focusing on cartels and drugs.
