Jeremy Clarkson went through a difficult time in the final episodes of Clarkson's Farm season 5, revealing a devastating health update. The hit Prime Video series took a dark turn when Clarkson disclosed he had an aggressive form of cancer.
Jeremy Clarkson's Age and Health Journey
Jeremy Clarkson was born in April 1960 in Sprotbrough, West Riding of Yorkshire. At the time of writing, he is 66 years old. Throughout season five, he opened up about his health and mortality, sharing his stark realization about his age and life.
In his Sunday Times column, he wrote: "Instead of hiding in a wardrobe, hoping it won't find me there, I'm writing this, and when I've finished I'll go to the pub. I do think about dying, a lot, and it bothers me. But not as much as it should."
Cancer Diagnosis in Clarkson's Farm
In episode seven, Clarkson pulled Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper aside to tell them he had an aggressive form of cancer, leaving his co-stars devastated. At the end of the final episode, he spoke from his hospital bed, sharing that his operation had "gone awry" and he had no idea what would happen next.
After revealing his diagnosis, he assured his co-stars, "I promise, I'll be fine," and continued to take a lighthearted approach. Just after his 66th birthday, he said he would "do anything in my power not to die" because he loved being a grandparent.
Taking Steps for Health
Clarkson revealed he had taken drastic measures to stay healthy, including walking. He wrote in his Times column: "Eventually, I decided that organized, indoor exercise was not for me and decided instead to do walking. Not when it's raining obviously. Or if it's too cold, or hot. And not if I'm busy."
The star is yet to give any further updates following the operation on his prostate. Clarkson's Farm season 5 is available on Prime Video.
