TV presenter Jeff Brazier has reportedly split from his wife Kate Dwyer for a second time, with sources claiming the couple have been under immense strain following a difficult year involving Brazier's youngest son Freddy. Kate, a PR guru, is said to have moved out of the family home three weeks ago and returned to her flat in Hackney, London. The couple previously separated in 2022 before reconciling seven months later.
Brazier, who became a single parent to sons Bobby and Freddy after their mother Jade Goody died of cervical cancer in 2009, has faced a challenging period as his family unit fractures. Freddy, 21, recently revealed struggles with mental health and substance abuse, and is reported to have split from his pregnant girlfriend Holly Swinburn. He has since reconciled with his father after a period of estrangement.
Jade Goody's mother, Jackiey Budden, has spoken out in the past, criticising Brazier's parenting. Earlier this year, Brazier launched legal action to prevent Freddy from seeing Budden, claiming it was to 'keep him safe', but later dropped the case. Freddy had moved in with Budden and publicly stated he did not want to see his father, accusing him of being 'image-obsessed'.
Brazier has hinted at the split on social media, describing a 'transitional time' and saying he has 'escaped back to the countryside' to live in calm. He wrote about designing the life he wants, noting that 'success equals peace'. The couple's wedding rings have been absent in recent public appearances.
A source told The Sun: 'It's been an incredibly stressful year for all of them. It's been one thing after another. The pressure they're under has exposed the weaknesses in their marriage and it's become too much. Kate has told friends she's had enough.'
