The Signs That Jeff and Kate Brazier's Marriage Was Over
New reports confirm that TV presenter Jeff Brazier, 46, and his wife, PR expert Kate Brazier, 35, have secretly separated. The couple, who married in 2018, are believed to have quietly parted ways after a difficult year, with multiple public signs hinting at trouble in their relationship.
Cryptic Social Media Posts and a Missing Ring
The most telling indicator emerged during Jeff's appearance on ITV's Good Morning Britain from Reykjavik, Iceland, where his wedding ring was conspicuously absent. This followed a weekend where the pair were on different continents. While Kate was in Las Vegas for the US Grand Prix, Jeff posted a reflective message from his new countryside home, captioning it, "I've escaped back to the countryside" and speaking of a "transitional time in all our lives."
Meanwhile, Kate shared a cryptic quote on her Instagram stories that read, "Just an update: SIX PLANETS ARE IN RETROGRADE. That's why." In a selfie from her Vegas trip, where she shared a video of a lap dance at Caesar's Palace, she appeared to have replaced her wedding band with another ring. She captioned one post, "Possibly one of the best days of my life," and later reposted a video recap of 2025 featuring Johnny Depp saying, "What the f*** was that."
A Difficult Year and Family Strain
The alleged split comes after an undeniably challenging period for the couple. A source claims Kate moved out of their shared marital home weeks ago and has returned to her apartment in Hackney. The year has also been marked by strain involving Jeff's youngest son, Freddy.
In June, Freddy kicked off rumours of a rift with his stepmother in a TikTok video, listing "Step parents" as one of the things he hates. He also stated, "I don't know how to love because I've never been loved." Further family tension arose in March when Jeff launched, and later dropped, legal action to prevent Freddy from seeing his grandmother, Jackiey Budden. More recently, Freddy revealed he is expecting a child with his girlfriend, Holly Swinburn.
Although Jeff and Kate still follow each other on Instagram, neither has posted about the other in months. Their last public acknowledgements were a birthday post from Kate in May 2024 and a golf trip post from Jeff in July. This is not the first time the couple have faced difficulties, having split briefly at the end of 2022 due to differing lifestyles.
