A Place in the Sun star Jasmine Harman has paid tribute to her late co-star Jonnie Irwin following a heartwarming reunion with his family. The pair co-presented the Channel 4 travel series together for nearly two decades.

Jonnie Irwin's Passing

Jonnie Irwin sadly passed away at the age of 50 in February 2024 after a battle with lung cancer. He was best known for his work on A Place in the Sun and Escape to the Country. The popular TV star was diagnosed with lung cancer four years before his death. He is survived by his wife Jessica Irwin and their three sons, Rex, Rafa, and Cormac.

Jasmine's Heartfelt Tribute

Taking to Instagram, Jasmine, who worked with Jonnie from 2004 to 2019, revealed that she and her family went on holiday with Jessica and the boys. Also joining the trip to Spain were her husband Jon Boast, daughter Joy, and son Albion. Sharing a photo of the families by the pool, Jasmine wrote: “Oh Jonnie, you would have loved this weekend. My heart is so full after spending time with Jess and the boys. You’d be so proud of them. Watching our families spend time together, sharing laughs, stories and creating new memories, felt so incredibly special. You are always missed, but seeing your boys grow into such wonderful young people is a beautiful reminder that a part of you is still with us every day.”

She added: “And dear Jess, I am always in awe of you. Such an amazing woman and wonderful wife and mum @jessofjesmond @jboasty_dop.”

Previous Tribute on Loose Women

Previously, Jasmine broke down in tears on ITV's Loose Women while talking about Jonnie's passing. She said: “You never know what's around the corner and I think Jonnie's situation, we can all take something from it... We can all cherish every day and live with as much joy as possible and that's what he did.” She added: “We didn't always film together cause we were always in different countries but we used to get together at [events for the show] all the time. We became good friends.”
