James Nelson-Joyce 'Confirms' Romance with Love Island Star After Split
James Nelson-Joyce 'Confirms' New Romance with Love Island Star

James Nelson-Joyce has "confirmed" he is in a relationship with Love Island star Samantha Kenny, just shortly after breaking off his engagement to Coronation Street actress Olivia Frances Brown. Olivia made her debut on the cobbles earlier this year as the troublesome Jodie Ramsay.

However, it seems her engagement to This City Is Ours frontman James Nelson-Joyce is now over. The Liverpool-born actor has enjoyed an impressive start to his career with his scene-stealing performance in A Thousand Blows before he proved his leading man credentials in This City Is Ours.

The BBC star, 37, is rumoured to be dating 28-year-old Samantha Kenny, who is best known for appearing on season 11 of Love Island.

Samantha teased her romance with the actor in a TikTok posted last month. She shared a video of her new mystery man who was applying her lip liner.

The man's face was not featured, but his voice could be heard. Samantha added the words: "Bafta nominee turned MUA", which only confirmed fans' guesses. James was nominated in the best actor category at this year's BAFTA TV Awards.

Fans could hear his iconic Scouse accent, as he said: "I can't do it when you're talking can I." Taking to the comments, fans "confirmed" the man in question was James Nelson-Joyce. One said: "Oh we all recognise that voice" and another said: "Definitely James you lucky lady lol." A third said: "No this is the hardest launch" and a fourth wrote: "Love seeing you happy Sam you deserve the happiness." Others described the video as a "soft launch" of their relationship.

James has also liked Samantha's recent posts on Instagram. The 28-year-old shared some stunning photos from a trip to Mykonos, Greece. The make-up artist added the caption: "Sunset lover". James seemed to confirm his close bond with the reality star, as he added to the comments, he said: "Now then!!!"

The news of James' new relationship comes after he was engaged to Coronation Street actor Olivia Frances Brown. Olivia, 27, made her debut during one of the most memorable episodes in soap history, as Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossed over for a one-off special.

James' fiancée arrived on the cobbles as Jodie. At the time, James re-shared a post on Instagram to show his support for his partner, he added two love heart emojis alongside a photo of her in character on the soap.

Olivia and James were in a relationship for many years, and they often shared aspects of their life together on social media. They announced their engagement last summer, but it appears their relationship is now over.

The former couple were spotted together soaking up the sun on the docks in March this year. They visited The Daffodil, the former Mersey Ferry which is now berthed in Canning Dock as a floating bar and restaurant. Olivia has been busy on the cobbles since she appeared as Jodie Ramsay, the sister of Shona Platt.
