James Martin, the chef and presenter of ITV's James Martin's Saturday Morning, has revealed his favourite two-ingredient breakfast following a three-stone weight loss. The 52-year-old described grilled tomatoes on toast as 'very simple and very tasty'.
Martin, who now eats fish for 80% of his diet, still indulges in butter. He recently published a book, James Martin's Spanish Adventure, featuring recipes inspired by his travels in Spain.
On the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, Martin attributed his weight loss to his passion for motor racing, saying he struggled to get in and out of cars. He avoids the gym, using his ability to exit a car as a fitness measure.
Martin, who describes himself as a 'farmer's kid', prefers simple food and great ingredients. He has written a 517-page book dedicated to butter, titled Butter: Comforting, Delicious, Versatile.
