Comedian Jack Whitehall married model Roxy Horner at a lavish ceremony in the Cotswolds on Saturday, but the day was nearly derailed by a wardrobe malfunction. Whitehall told British Vogue that he split his trousers while squatting to pick up his daughter Elsie, exposing his backside. He had originally planned to wear a Tom Ford suit but was forced to change into a back-up Dunhill suit.
The wedding took place at a £12 million country manor, with around 250 guests in attendance. Among them were Whitehall's parents, Hilary and Michael, his brother Barnaby (who served as best man), and celebrity friends including James Corden, Jamie Redknapp, Freddie Flintoff, and David Gardner. The couple's two-year-old daughter Elsie acted as flower girl, while Roxy's sister Molly was a bridesmaid.
Roxy Horner wore two bespoke Galia Lahav gowns, each costing up to £16,000, along with Alaia Le Coeur heels and Roxanne Assoulin jewellery. Jack Whitehall wore a traditional black tie suit with Christian Louboutin shoes worth £800. The ceremony included a romantic moment where Jack rowed a boat across a lake to meet his bride, though friends heckled him with cries of 'shagger'—a reference to his 2019 appearance on Who Do You Think You Are?, where he learned his great-great-grandfather was a womanising travelling salesman.
The couple, who made their relationship official in 2020, announced their engagement in December 2024. The wedding began at 4pm and was scheduled to continue until at least 2am. Whitehall, who hosted Saturday Night Live UK the week before, joked about being nervous for his groom's speech, describing his role as 'ceremonial' and comparing himself to 'a wall with a cash machine in it.'
