Jack Whitehall Responds to Becky Hill's Diss Track After Wetherspoons Whitney Dig
Jack Whitehall Responds to Becky Hill Diss Track

Jack Whitehall has responded to Becky Hill's diss track about him, admitting he apologised to the singer after calling her a 'Wetherspoons Whitney' at the BRIT Awards last year.

The comedian, 37, made the comment about Becky, who rose to fame on The Voice and later had hits like 'My Heart Goes (La Di Da)', during the 2025 ceremony. In retaliation, Becky released the track 'Daddy's Range Rover', which references Jack's privileged background as the son of showbiz agent Michael Whitehall, who represents stars like Colin Firth, Judi Dench, and Daniel Day-Lewis.

At a recent gig, Becky told the audience: 'I've had enough of all this s*** so I wrote about it. This song, I'm affectionately calling Wetherspoons Whitney, but you lot will know it as Daddy's Range Rover. This one's for you, Jack.'

Speaking to The Times, Jack admitted he was 'surprised' it took so long for someone to write a diss track about him, given his history of jokes. He explained they 'had a laugh about it' and he apologised when they met recently. 'I was like, 'I'm sorry.' And we had a chuckle about it.'

Just days earlier, Becky posted on Instagram: 'Remember not to be out of touch today kids, even if your daddy is rich. Shout out to Jack Whitehall for the fuel to my fire.'

Jack presented the BRITs again this year but faced criticism for jokes perceived as targeting the working class, including a comment about an audience member's suit quality. Accepting he'll 'always be posh', Jack previously admitted to using a mock-Cockney accent in his early stand-up days to avoid sounding like a 'posh t***'.

Almost immediately after Jack's initial dig went viral, Becky hit back: 'Imagine being called a 'Wetherspoons Whitney' by some privately educated nepo baby who has a TV show with daddy the showbiz agent on national TV. My parents worked so hard... no one gave me a leg up.'
