Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd was back on set on Friday, seemingly unfazed by news of his split from long-term fiancée Lauren. The 29-year-old posted a video on social media of himself riding a tricycle through the studio corridors, mimicking a scene from The Shining alongside co-stars Catherine Tyldesley and Shayne Ward.
It was revealed this week that Shepherd and Lauren have ended their 15-year relationship. A source told The Sun: 'Jack and Lauren remain the best of friends and their main focus is the care of their children.' The couple share two children, Nyla, 8, and Reuben, 4, and are said to still be living together.
The pair's relationship has been turbulent. In 2011, Lauren threw Shepherd out after he had a one-night stand with sales executive Sammy Milewski, which resulted in the birth of his son Greyson, now six. Shepherd later won Lauren back with a £3,000 engagement ring.
Friends and family reportedly believe the couple may reconcile, as they are still 'so young'. Shepherd does not have a parental relationship with Greyson beyond paying maintenance, according to The Sun. The actor supports the charity Young Epilepsy; Greyson suffers from Alternating Hemiplegia Of Childhood, a rare neurological condition.
