Hollyoaks Star Callum Kerr to Be Dad Again After Tragedy

Hollyoaks star Callum Kerr is set to become a father again, just over a year after the devastating loss of his mother and stepfather in France. The actor and his wife Lauren Stacy shared the joyful news on social media, revealing they are expecting a baby boy later this year.

Baby Joy for Callum and Lauren

The couple, who already have a daughter named Isla born in 2023, posted two photos on Instagram showing them in matching blue outfits. Lauren cradles her baby bump in a flowing dress while Callum places his hand on her stomach. The announcement comes less than 11 months after Callum's mother Dawn and stepfather Andrew Searle were found dead in their home in southwest France.

A Heartbreaking Tragedy

Dawn, 56, and Andrew, 62, were discovered on February 7 last year in the hamlet of Les Pesquies, near Toulouse. French authorities concluded it was a murder-suicide, with Andrew dying by hanging and Dawn suffering multiple blows to the head. The couple had moved to France from East Lothian, Scotland, a decade ago and married in 2023, with Callum giving his mother away.

Callum's Career and Personal Life

Callum, known for playing PC George Kiss on Hollyoaks from 2020 to 2021, proposed to Lauren in 2024 after their daughter's birth. The couple married in a Scottish castle ceremony in January, less than a year after the tragedy. Callum has also appeared in Netflix's Virgin River and pursued a career as a country singer in Nashville.

Family's Statement on the Tragedy

In a statement, Callum and his sister Amanda urged the public not to attend Andrew's funeral, citing evidence pointing to murder-suicide. They requested that their mother not be associated with the service honoring the man believed responsible for her death. The investigation remains ongoing.
