Former Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan has marked what would have been her late sister Darci Rose's 20th birthday with an emotional Instagram post, weeks after the teenager's death.
The 33-year-old shared a message to her four million followers on Sunday, writing: 'Happy 20th birthday baby girl… I hope you’re dancing up there singing Ella Eyre on karaoke.' She described Darci as an 'incredible, beautiful young woman' and said: 'I’m so sorry this happened to you… We miss and love you more than you’ll ever know.'
Darci died last month after falling 'seriously ill' following suspected drug use. In a previous statement, Hagan revealed her half-sister passed away peacefully in hospital, surrounded by family. Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called on 19 October and enquiries are ongoing.
Hagan recalled personal memories, including Darci's forgetfulness at home and her bond with Hagan's son Alpha-Jax. She noted Darci had dreamed of becoming a social worker, reflecting her 'passion for helping children'.
Concluding the tribute, Hagan wrote: 'I don’t know if I’m behaving how I assumed I would when grieving, but I genuinely feel she has given me so much strength and is watching over us as our guardian angel. We love you so much baby girl. Forever 19.'
