The actor, who plays Detective Inspector Geordie Keating, took to Instagram to announce that the show's 11th and final series has begun airing in the United States.

Sharing an image of himself in character alongside co-star Rishi Nair, who portrays vicar Alphy Kottaram, Robson Green wrote: "It's the beginning of the end. The final season of Grantchester lands across the pond in the US. Grantchester.......... A quiet, idyllic, peaceful and quintessentially English village that has a meadow and a beautiful river. Perfect for picnics and murder! It's the Final Season and it's the best one yet!"
