Horrifying images have emerged of the scene of a fatal car crash in Turkey that killed Jake McLean, the ex-boyfriend of TOWIE star Lauren Goodger. The accident, which occurred near the tourist city of Bodrum on Sunday, July 3, also seriously injured McLean's on-off partner, Yazmin Oukhellou, who has been hospitalised.
In the images, the vehicle is seen lying on its roof in darkness amidst knee-high grass, with its doors open and headlights still on. Emergency crews are pictured using torches to inspect the wreckage. McLean, 33, rose to fame while dating Lauren Goodger from 2012 to 2016. Goodger, who is expecting her second child with partner Charles Drury, shared a tribute on Instagram, saying: 'R.I.P Jake, I have no words right now. My thoughts are with your family & friends.'
McLean's aunt, Sheila McLean, paid tribute from her home in east London, describing him as 'a lovely boy' and saying the family is 'all so upset.' Oukhellou, 28, also a TOWIE star, is believed to be recovering from injuries to one of her arms in hospital. The couple had been on and off since May last year, and were thought to be broken up at the time of the crash, with friends unsure why they were together in Turkey.
A source told MailOnline: 'It's a complete tragedy and a total loss of life. Everyone is in shock and hoping Yazmin makes a full recovery.' Another insider suggested to The Sun that McLean was driving when he lost control and the car went off a cliff. Daily Star has contacted TOWIE and Oukhellou's representatives for comment.
