Gary Windass Coronation Street Secret Unveiled: Not Affair or Murder

Gary Windass is hiding something major in Coronation Street, and fans believe they have rumbled exactly what it is. Contrary to initial suspicions, it is not an affair or murder. The evil Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) was killed off earlier this year after his abusive crimes were exposed, sparking a whodunnit on the ITV soap. He was found dead during Murder Week, with suspects including Todd Grimshaw, Christina Boyd, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton.

Gary and Sarah's Secret

Although Summer has been charged with Theo's murder, Gary and ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) appear to be covering something up. Last week, Gary admitted the secret was taking a toll, telling Sarah he 'doesn't know how much more he can take' and 'can't do this anymore'. Fans have shared theories online, from a one-night stand to Gary being the killer. However, a new theory suggests neither of them actually murdered Theo.

Fan Theories Emerge

Viewers suspect Sarah and Gary merely had a 'scuffle' with Theo on the night he was murdered, and the real killer remains at large. One fan on a Coronation Street Facebook page mused: 'I think maybe Sarah had a scuffle with Theo, Gary saved her, neither of them killed him, but they know how it would look if anyone knew anything.' Another agreed: 'I don't think it was them.' A third added: 'It's nothing to do with an affair and I don't think they killed Theo either. Probably just saw him the night he was murdered.' Another fan suggested: 'I reckon Gary attacked Theo and thinks he killed him and ran off, but Theo wasn't actually dead, and someone else finished him off, but Gary didn't see the second person so he thinks he did it.'
