The latest series of The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) has returned, bringing with it original cast member Lauren Goodger, who makes her first appearance since 2016. The reality star, 37, has been open about her cosmetic procedures, including a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) she underwent in Turkey in 2017, which she described as 'the worst experience' of her life. She now wants to reverse the procedure but is unsure how, as 'there isn't a procedure that can reverse the BBL'.
Lauren has also had a rhinoplasty in 2011 to fix a broken nose, breast augmentation in 2013 (taking her from 34D to 34E), and lip filler using the 'butterfly effect' technique in February 2023. She rejoined the show after deciding it was the right time to return to the spotlight, telling MailOnline: 'It's like I never left! It's different this time round obviously because I'm a mum but it's like learning how to drive, you never forget once you're back in the driving seat!'
Another original cast member, Amy Childs, 33, has also undergone significant transformations. She had two boob jobs, botox, lip fillers, liposuction, and veneers, starting at age 18. However, she has now ditched cosmetic surgery, admitting she looked 'like a freak'. She told The Sun in 2022: 'I have not had cosmetic surgery for a long time now, and, for me, being a mum you totally change the way you look at things. Back in the day on TOWIE you ended up getting obsessed with your looks, but now I am 32 this year and in a completely different mindset.'
The new series, filmed partly in Bali, promises scandalous feuds, unexpected romance, and more drama as the cast returns to Essex.
