Emmerdale viewers are in for more dramatic twists next week as Caleb Miligan discovers he has been scammed, Charity Dingle struggles with her new lie, and Lewis finds himself in a dangerous situation.
Caleb Gets Scammed
Kerry and Archie attempt to scam Caleb using 'AI Steph,' but they are caught in the act when Pollard walks in on them. He confronts them, and Kerry feels terrible about the situation. Meanwhile, Caleb realizes he has been scammed out of the five thousand pounds he previously sent to 'Steph.' He feels humiliated by how easily he was tricked.
When Ruby mentions that the scammer knew private details about Laurel and Ross, Caleb decides to call the police and vows revenge. Kerry tries to convince Pollard not to involve the authorities, using his own shady past to persuade him to let it go. Pollard instructs Archie to delete all evidence from the laptop.
The next day, Ruby spots Kerry's counterfeit purse, making Kerry and Pollard nervous that she is piecing together their involvement. Later, Caleb tells Billy he wants to regain his 'edge' by starting a counterfeit goods operation, suggesting the depot as the perfect location. He tries to sway Billy with a percentage cut, leaving Billy seriously considering the offer. Caleb pressures a reluctant Billy into doing a pick-up for their illegal side hustle, offering him eight percent of the profits. Caleb warns Billy to keep their scheme a secret from Jai, clearly enjoying his return to crime.
Later, when Caleb tells Jai that Ruby believes the scammer is someone they know, Jai becomes concerned about hearing Archie's name in connection with the scam. Jai interrogates Kerry and accuses her and Archie of being involved. Will she admit the truth?
Charity Receives a Diagnosis
Manpreet checks on Charity, who lies that her breakdown is due to postnatal depression. Manpreet prescribes medication, leaving Charity feeling utterly alone in her new lie. When Mack returns, Charity is upset to learn he has told Sarah about her troubles. Once alone, she washes some sleeping pills down with wine.
The next day, Sarah feels guilty, believing her gran's presumed postnatal depression is a result of being her surrogate. She desperately wants to know more when Charity suggests there is 'more going on.' Charity struggles to share her real pain, deflecting the conversation back to PND and her lack of sleep. Mack later consoles a distraught Sarah, who sobs, blaming the surrogacy for all of Charity's emotional pain.
Cain Has an Accident
Cain tells Kyle he is proud of him, and Kyle is thrilled when Cain asks to attend the swearing-in ceremony at cadets. Taking the Army Cadet oath, Kyle looks for his father's support but is visibly disappointed when he sees his chair is empty. Cain bursts into the Woolpack toilets, horrified at the wet patch on his trousers. He feels mortified and immediately hides in a cubicle. Charles enters, sees the situation, and returns with a pair of clean trousers, handing them under the cubicle door to a humiliated Cain, who finally accepts the help.
Still reeling from the embarrassment of his incontinence, Charles and Bob try to comfort Cain and assure him of their discretion. They encourage him to be brave and return to the ceremony. Cain returns and awkwardly confesses his accident to Kyle, apologizing for missing the swearing-in. Kyle reassures his dad that he was not embarrassed and is just pleased that he came back.
Later, Cain confesses to Moira his fear that his health issues are making him 'less of a man.' Moira passionately reassures him that facing his fears makes him stronger. At the hospital, Ms Rhodes informs Cain and Moira that, although the surgery was successful, tests show it is highly likely the cancer has spread slightly. Cain and Moira are devastated not to have received the all-clear. Cain spirals upon learning he will need further treatment but must wait months for it as his body needs time to heal from the prostatectomy. Ms Rhodes also confirms there is a realistic chance the radiotherapy could make his current side effects permanent. They decide not to tell the boys, but it is not long before family secrets are revealed.

Vinny surprises Lewis with a spontaneous trip to Madeira, but soon Lewis's anxiety about the spontaneity causes him to pull out of the holiday. Lewis insists Vinny still goes, leaving Lewis feeling bittersweet. After some encouraging words from Ross, Lewis decides he will go on the holiday after all and rushes to catch Vinny at the airport. As Lewis rushes out with his suitcase to meet his taxi, a van screeches to a halt nearby...
