Emmerdale Couple Devastated by Death of Photographer Friend

Former Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon and his fiancée Laura Norton are devastated by the death of their friend and photographer David Longstaffe at the age of 60. Mark, known for playing Daz Spencer, and Laura, who portrayed Kerry Wyatt, met Longstaffe during a photoshoot for OK! Magazine about their children's Usher syndrome diagnosis. He later helped them organize a charity ball for Cure Usher.

Heartfelt Tribute

In an emotional Instagram post, Mark wrote: "Today we lost a dear friend @david_longstaffe. For many people David was a photographer. To us he was so much more than that." He recalled how Longstaffe made them feel comfortable and valued from their first meeting, turning photoshoots into experiences full of laughter and warmth.

Mark praised Longstaffe's dedication to the charity, saying he gave his time, talent, and heart without hesitation. "He had a gift of making everyone feel like they belong there," Mark added, noting that Longstaffe worked tirelessly behind the scenes to capture memorable moments.

Mark concluded: "Thank you, David, for your friendship, your generosity and the countless moments you captured for us all. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten."

Laura's Response

Laura Norton added: "Beautifully said Mark. I still cannot believe this devastating news. Heart broken. What an unbelievably generous soul." She highlighted the love and friendship Longstaffe showed their family and his devotion to the charity.

The couple's children, Jesse and Ronnie, both have Usher syndrome, a condition that affects hearing and vision. Longstaffe's support helped raise awareness and funds for the cause.
