Emily Atack has given fans a look at her honeymoon after tying the knot to husband Alistair Garner. The pair shared glimpses of their holiday via Instagram on Friday, posting multiple photographs of herself unwinding in their holiday cottage alongside images of exploring the village with Alistair and their two-year-old son.
Staying in Port Isaac
Revealing they stayed in the Cornish village that doubles as Portwenn, the fictional village in Doc Martin, she said: "Our restful honeymoon in pretty Port Isaac. Found a gorgeous little cottage that Al couldn't fully stand up in without whacking his head, played Scrabble, cooked, watched Disney films with Barney and generally behaved like a couple who'd been married for about 40 years."
The couple quietly married in a church back in the UK before a party in the garden of their Bedfordshire mansion last month and again tied the knot in the Spanish hilltop town of Mojácar. Emily wore an ivory plunge dress from Evelie with long sleeves, a veil and lace shoes by Charlotte Mills.
Second wedding in Spain
This comes after Emily walked down the aisle for a second time to marry Alistair Garner. Emily, 36, arrived ahead of the star-studded ceremony in Spain in a red convertible Cadillac just earlier this month. She stunned as she stepped out in an off-the-shoulder gown to take her pop-star father Keith Atack's hand for the occasion. She then proceeded to tie the knot - again - with husband Alistair Garner, 40.
They exchanged their vows in the courtyard of a 16th-century church in Mojacar in front of almost 200 of their nearest and dearest. Emily, best known for her role in The Inbetweeners, looked amazing as she waved to the cameras. In images, Emily is seen wearing a veil and her gown's long train was being held by her chief bridesmaid. It's said guests were left waiting almost two hours at the drinks reception for the actress to arrive.
Family connections
The Daily Mail says the registrar said: "I expect some of you in here are experiencing some Deja vu' in reference to her first wedding three weeks earlier, which took place in Bedfordshire." Their latest ceremony at the holiday hotspot, in Costa de Almería, southern Spain, is where her musician dad Keith once had a holiday home. Emily had spent summers there when she was young.
For the special day, crates of beer, wine, spirits and Cava were seen being delivered to two venues in the town. Among the celebs spotted prior to the ceremony was her Rivals' Alex Hassell, who is super-cad Rupert Campbell-Black in the show. Emily plays TV star Sarah Stratton and the pair memorably played naked tennis together in the first series.
Speaking about her love of the town previously, Emily said: "It’s our favourite place on Earth and we still go every single year. I loved my family holidays there growing up." Speaking about Alistair, she explained: "All the cliches of life become true when you fall in love and have a baby. He's my rock, but he really, literally, is my rock. I couldn't do life with anyone else but him." The duo got engaged in July last year.
