Emily Atack Pays Heartbreaking Tribute to Ex Charlie Edwards as Inquest Opens

An inquest has been opened into the death of tattoo artist and model Charlie Edwards, who died on March 24 at the age of 26. The hearing took place at Grimsby Town Hall before Assistant Coroner for Greater Lincolnshire, Jane Eatock, who said the cause of death is yet to be determined. The inquest has been adjourned until September.

Edwards, from Grimsby, was discovered at a studio on Wilton Road in Humberston. He was a self-employed tattoo artist with over 200,000 Instagram followers, whose work had caught the attention of US rapper Post Malone. He previously ran a business called Ravens Retreat with his brother Jack and campaigned to remove the stigma surrounding body art.

His former girlfriend, actress Emily Atack, known for her roles in The Inbetweeners and Rivals, paid tribute on Instagram. She shared a picture of the pair and described Charlie as 'funny, smart, talented and caring'. She wrote: 'Charlie you were my friend. You were always there for me. You dropped everything so many times to come and be with me. We talked for hours on end on the phone about absolutely everything. We helped each other.'

Atack added: 'My heart breaks for your family who will forever be so proud of you. Beautiful boy, beautiful soul. I'm so so sorry. Rest in peace Charlie.'

A funeral service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on Friday, May 1. Floral tributes are welcomed, and donations can be made to The Andy's Man Club or The Fisherman's Mission via their websites.
