Ellie Goulding has announced the birth of her second child, a “beautiful healthy baby girl”. The singer, 39, shared the news on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, revealing she gave birth on Friday.
In a heartfelt post, Goulding praised the midwives at St Mary’s Hospital, describing them as “incredible”. She wrote: “It was fitting that I spent International Women’s Day with her and the incredible female team at St Mary’s, who provided me and my baby with extraordinary care and kindness.”
The baby is Goulding’s first child with her partner, Beau Minniear. She also has a four-year-old son, Arthur, from her previous marriage to art dealer Caspar Jopling, from whom she finalised her divorce in January 2025.
Goulding is not expected to take a long break from work. She is set to headline BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland on May 23, and her sixth studio album is due for release later this year.
