Ellie Goulding has suggested she has dated women, describing her past relationships with men as 'toxic, fleeting and passionate'. The 39-year-old singer, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Beau Minniear, made the comment on Brooks Nader's reality show Love Thy Nader on Disney+.
During scenes filmed last summer, Nader, 28, joked about potentially dating women after her split from Gleb Savchenko. Goulding replied: 'That's what I do. It works every time.' It is unclear if she was being serious. The pair shared a kiss in 2024.
Goulding, who has a four-year-old son Alfred with ex-husband Caspar Jopling, added: 'I think the most exciting love comes for a reason, and it's toxic and fleeting and passionate... It's all great song material.' She said she does it 'for the plot' to write songs.
The singer, set to release her sixth studio album soon, also said: 'It's all about being the amazing woman that you are, and then guys are just an accessory every now and again.' She revealed her pregnancy in December 2025.
Goulding has previously dated Greg James, Skrillex, Jeremy Irvine, Niall Horan, and Dougie Poynter. She split from Jopling in 2024 after five years of marriage.
