Ed Sheeran's cousin Jethro Sheeran has branded him a 'coward' during an appearance on Piers Morgan's Uncensored, leaving the host speechless. The fallout continues after Macklemore was removed from the Shape of You singer's Loop Tour over his pro-Palestine statements.
Jethro's accusations against Ed
In a snippet shared by Piers, Jethro, 44, insisted he isn't 'jealous' of his cousin, who has an estimated net worth of £410 million. 'Seeing what he did to Macklemore, I believe he kicked him off that show,' he said. 'I witnessed him being a coward for almost 10 years and lying.'
Jethro continued: 'People think I'm jealous of him… but jealous of what? His looks, his guitar?' However, when he insisted he didn't 'hate' his cousin, Piers suggested that it 'sounds like you really do'. At one point, Jethro starts rapping at a stone-faced Piers, with the full interview expected to clarify the reason.
Piers branded it 'One of the weirdest interviews of my career…' on X.

When the fallout first started, Jethro wrote on Facebook: 'Finally it's all coming out! I'm ashamed of my cousin Ed and what he's done.' He added: 'Finally the world and all his fans see through him. He's not a good person, I don't like his music so I can't say he's even a good artist.'
He went further, claiming: 'Ed Sheeran! He is shady and he's dropped Macklemore himself I believe 100 per cent he's a coward. In my opinion he's a bad human. Just my opinion from my experiences.'
Background of the cousins' rift
The cousins were once close and reportedly spent school holidays making music together before their relationship soured as Ed's career took off. Their previous dispute was said to centre on Raise Em Up, a song Jethro recorded with Ed in 2010 which later featured in the 2013 film All Stars. Jethro then recorded a remix that credited his cousin and used Ed's image in its artwork, reportedly hoping its release could help fund the fledgling music career of his daughter, Skyla Rain Sheeran. Lawyers representing Ed's record label Warner Music reportedly contacted him and threatened legal action unless references to the superstar were removed.
Potential concert issues
While his cousin has been speaking out, Ed is facing more potential problems as TMZ claimed the show at Gillette Stadium might not go ahead. The Massachusetts stadium is owned by Robert Kraft, who rallied other stadium owners to push for Macklemore's removal. According to a source, after the stage was partially put together, crew members were told to hold off on finishing construction due to the storm. A different source at the venue claimed the stage had been primed for the Friday night show, with lights being tested on Thursday evening. So far, the concert has not been cancelled or postponed and the weekend is set to go ahead at the Kraft Group-owned stadium. Metro has reached out to reps for Ed Sheeran for comment.
