Soap stars Katie McGlynn and Max Bowden have been spotted sharing a passionate kiss while touring together in the play 'Murder at Midnight'. The pair, who play leading roles in the production, were seen hand in hand on a pub outing and later shared an intimate kiss in the street over the weekend.
However, the steamy photos have reportedly come as a blow to Katie's ex-boyfriend, TOWIE star Ricky Rayment, following their recent split in July. A source told The Sun: 'Ricky still cares about Katie and wants her to be happy, but of course, seeing the pictures of her kissing Max were a blow to him. Nobody would like seeing their ex looking so loved up so soon after splitting up.'
Katie, 32, best known for her role as Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street, and Max, 30, famed for playing Ben Mitchell in EastEnders, have been getting close during the tour. A source said: 'They've got loads in common and both have found themselves single at the same time as doing the tour. They get on well and have been spending time together - it's clear they've got chemistry.'
Max is no stranger to dating co-stars, having previously been linked with EastEnders actresses Shona McGarty and Danielle Harold. His most recent relationship was with actress and director Tori Allen-Martin, which ended after six months.
Katie and Ricky split after two years together and wiped all traces of each other off social media. The news came a year after they had sparked engagement rumours when Katie was seen with a diamond ring on Valentine's Day. However, Katie previously dismissed speculation, telling the Mirror and OK! Magazine: 'I've never thought about a proposal before; it's not something I've dreamed about like other girls.'
