Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has reassured fans she is 'fine' after a fall during rehearsals with her celebrity partner, Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin. The dancer was reportedly taken to hospital earlier this week but has now tweeted that she is ready to perform.
In a message on social media, Buswell said: 'We both cannot wait to dance tonight. Thanks again for your thoughts and well wishes.' She emphasised that the incident was an accident, stating: 'We had an accident, key word being accident.'
Buswell and Griffin have been strong contenders in the competition, earning a total of 49 points across the first two live shows, placing them fourth among the remaining 14 couples. Tonight, they will perform a dance to the Disney song 'Friend Like Me' by Will Smith from Aladdin.
Griffin, who presents Radio 1's afternoon weekend show with Alice Levine, previously came second in a dance competition at a Pontins holiday park in 1996. He was also a finalist on Celebrity MasterChef in 2017. He told BBC News: 'All I want is to win. I don't believe in doing things for taking part, if you are going to do something, you do it to win.'
