Scottish actor David Tennant, 55, who recently portrayed the villainous Tony Baddingham in Rivals, is among the British and Irish actors joining the new season of Only Murders In The Building. The announcement was made via the show's social media account, which stated: “Keep calm and update the case file. David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis and Kathryn Hunter have joined the Season 6 cast of #OMITB.”
Only Murders In The Building: A Popular Series
Launched in 2021, the series follows residents Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez as they investigate murders in their upscale New York apartment building, the Arconia. Over the years, the show has attracted major stars such as Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Renee Zellweger, and Cara Delevingne.

After five successful seasons, the series has earned 49 Emmy nominations and won seven. Season six is currently filming in London for the first time, though a release date has not been announced. Previously announced cast members include Geri Halliwell Horan, Martin Freeman, Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan.
The new season will focus on another murder, teased at the end of season five when rival true-crime podcaster Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) appeared to meet a grisly end.
