David Haye has hit back at Adam Thomas after the actor accused him of bullying during their time on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa. The former boxer described Thomas as “weak” and insisted his behaviour was merely “banter”.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Haye mocked Thomas’s emotional response to their clashes on the show. “The little light sprinkling of primary school banter that I gave him, which was so gentle. He nearly had an emotional breakdown over it, and started crying,” Haye wrote.
Thomas, who went on to win the series, previously claimed that Haye tried to “break” him. The actor broke down in a recent podcast appearance discussing the experience. Haye dismissed the allegations and suggested that further information would emerge contradicting Thomas’s version of events.
During the show, Haye called Thomas “useless” after he was unable to take part in a trial. The pair frequently clashed, with Haye’s comments drawing criticism from viewers.
