Dakota Johnson has described starring in Taylor Swift’s new music video as “absolutely glorious”.
The pop star, 36, announced earlier this week that she is set to release her first single since marrying NFL star Travis Kelce in July.
Patient Zero release and premiere
The track, titled Patient Zero, will drop on Friday and will be followed by an accompanying video which will premiere at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.
It will star Irish actor Colin Farrell, 50, and US actress Johnson, 36.
Johnson on working with Swift
Speaking to the Press Association at the London premiere of her new film Verity, Johnson shared details about working with Swift.
She said: “Taylor and I have been really good friends for a long time, and we’re constantly talking about work and art and life, and you know we just ended up making this together, and it was absolutely glorious.”
Teaser and star-studded history
On Thursday Swift shared a teaser clip of the music video, with several scenes showing Johnson.
In one, Johnson stares angrily at Farrell while Swift struts towards the camera.
US actress Johnson is best known for starring in the Fifty Shades Of Grey franchise and The Materialists, while Irish actor Farrell is known for The Banshees Of Inisherin as well as The Batman.
The video follows Swift’s star-studded video for Opalite, which she released in February and featured cameos from celebrity guests who appeared alongside her on The Graham Norton Show.
Irish presenter Norton was among the line-up along with actor Cillian Murphy, singer Lewis Capaldi, About Time star Domhnall Gleeson, as well as actresses Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith.
Directed by Swift, the video marked the singer’s return to the chart summit and secured her a sixth number one single.
Verity is released in cinemas on October 2.
